Radio - Week 5
This week we finalised what roles each of us were going to have. As I needed to be on air but didn't feel I'd be best suited to be a presenter on the live show it was agreed that I would record one of the interviews with one of the bands we had arranged to record. I wrote up some original questions to ask them on the day of the interview to make it run smoother and faster. I also had the role of writing the script which involved talking with the whole group about what songs we were going to have and once we had the interviews recorded, deciding what the presenters were going to talk about on the show.

Radio - Week 4
This week we decided on a final idea in our group for what our radio show was going to be about. We had decided to do it about local bands which would allow us to go and get interviews to make up some pre-recorded content. Originally we wanted to name the show the local music show but it turned out that there was already a show with that name so we had to scrap that idea and come up with something else. The local bands we deceided to interview were Frankie and the Heartstrings, the Futureheads and Cohesion.
We arranged for me to interview Frankie and the Heartstrings down at their local store in town Pop Recs.

Radio - Week 2
This week we focused more on our group radio project. We got ourselves into groups of around 3-4 people and I am working with Lauren, Lianne and Ollie to create our 30 minute radio show. We also went into one of the radio booths to learn the very basics of 'driving the desk' where we were also told about how to get the perfect sound out of the microphone by its position and how far away you should be from it to get the best sound.
Back in the room we had to start thinking about ideas we would do our radio show on. The first idea that our group came up with was to do it on the best and worst film musicals as well as their sound tracks for example how successful frozen has been over the past year and then also move onto the best and worse film scores which would include music from composers such as Hans Zimmer.
